With new COVID-19 related restrictions that have come into effect here in Ontario to combat the Omicron variant, it is a reminder that we are not out of the woods yet.
We all need to continue to do our part to stay safe and protect ourselves and our loved ones. It is never too late to get your vaccine or your booster shot. After speaking to many of you, I know that this pandemic has been tough on all of us in various ways. As a result, I have decided to ring in the new year by starting a Women's Council called Good Vibes. If you would like to connect with others, get involved in the community (safely), have engaging conversations, learn new things, and feel empowered, you can join our Women’s Council for Mississauga—Streetsville. As a reminder, our small businesses have been hit the hardest during the pandemic. Let’s continue to #SupportLocal by purchasing food, products, or services in advance through their various COVID-safe alternative options. As you’ve heard during my Local Spotlight episodes, small businesses are getting creative and pivoting their business to ensure they are able to stay open. Let’s support them together!
